MEET OUR STAFF

Dr. Allaman completed his undergraduate studies at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2003. He then attended Ohio State University and also served in Gabon, Africa on a dental mission trip. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. After completing a one-year residency at St. Elizabeth’s, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Allaman worked in both private practice and public health in Ohio and North Carolina.

Dr. Allaman moved to the Martinsville area in 2012 and had the opportunity to work with mentor and friend, Dr. George Stermer, DDS. Dr. Allaman appreciates the educational and surgical aspects of dentistry, but says the best part of his job is interacting with patients and their families.

Dr. Allaman enjoys giving back locally to the Martinsville community and also hopes to complete another dental mission trip in the future. In his free time, Dr. Allaman enjoys reading, traveling, and relaxing with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.

Rob joined our staff in May 2022. Rob has a BS degree in Physical Education and Health Science. He received his Dental Technology training at Durham Technical Institute in 1977. He owned his own lab for 23 years before joining our team.

Christy joined our staff in October of 2011. Christy is a 2007 graduate of Virginia Western Community College with a Registered Dental Hygiene Degree and 2013 graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She is certified in Administration of Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide Sedation and Diode Laser treatment. Christy and her husband, Stan, have 2 daughters. Madison Martin of Catalina Island, CA and Holli Martin of Honolulu, HI. Her family has resided in Henry County for 28 years.

Stephanie joined the team in September 2006. She has 33+ years of experience in multiple areas of medical and dental office administration. Stephanie and her husband, Todd, live in Spencer Va. She has two sons, Tyler who is stationed in North Carolina with his son Jackson, and Parker who lives in San Diego CA.

Paula has been with the practice since 2009. Paula lives in Danville Va. with her husband Chris. She enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren River and Creed.

Melissa joined the team in 1987. While she moved out of state for a few years, she did return to the practice in 2006. She has over 35 years of dental assisting experience. She and her son, Ryan, reside in Martinsville Va.

Sharon joined the practice in 2001. She has 30+ years of experience as a dental assistant. She is from the Martinsville area and has three children and three grandchildren.
