MEET OUR STAFF

Dr. Stermer graduated from The College of William & 
Mary located in Norfolk, Va., in 1961 with a BS in Pre-dental studies. He then was graduated from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1965. 
He began his dental practice in Martinsville in 1965, was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966, and served in the U.S. Army Dental Corp as a Captain for two years.

He returned to Martinsville in 1968 to resume his dental practice. He has kept pace with the latest research and techniques of modern dentistry through advanced clinical courses and training. 

Dr. Stermer has a passion for dentistry and caring for people. With extensive training in dental surgery, dentures, and dental crown and bridge work, he is committed to continuing his education to offer the best treatments available.

Dr. Allaman is a 2003 graduate from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a Bachelors of Science and was graduated from Ohio State University in 2008 with a doctor of dental surgery degree. He continued his training with a year long General Practice Residency at level 1 trauma center, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, in Youngstown, Ohio. Dr. Allaman spent a year in private practice in Ohio before heading East and South to run the dental services of the Craven County Public Health Department which focused on providing care for the underprivileged pediatric populations of Craven, Pamlico, and Jones Counties in North Carolina. Dr. Allaman enjoys being able to give back to the community including a mission trip to Gabon West Africa.

Rob joined our staff may 2002. Rob has a BS degree in Physical Education and Health Science. He received his Dental Technology training at Durham Technical Institute in 1977. He owned his own lab for 23 years before joining Denture Express.

Christy joined our staff October 2011. Christy is a 2007 graduate of Virginia Western Community College with a Registered Dental Hygienist degree. She is also certified in Administration of Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide Sedation. Christy and her family currently reside in the Henry County area.

Stephanie Read joined our team in September 2006. She has 23 years experience in different areas of Medical/ Dental office administration. She currently resides in Henry County with her family

Paula has enjoyed working with Dr. Stermer since 2009 and currently with Dr. Allaman. She has over 12 years experience as a receptionist/appointment coordinator in the dental and medical field. Paula resides in Danville with her husband Chris of 20 yrs. and son Landon (18 yrs. Old) as well as her westie Jack.

Melissa joined Dr. Stermer's staff in 1987.  While she moved out of state for a few years, she returned home with Dr. Stermer in 2006.  She has 27 years of dental assisting experience and currently resides in Martinsville with her son Ryan.

Sharon Dillon joined Dr. Stermers office in 2001. She has 26 years of experience as a dental assistant. She has 3 children and resides in Martinsville.
